Icaros Desktop is a pre-configured AROS desktop environment for the PC platform, distributed on a bootable live media. The AROS Research Operating System is a open source lightweight, efficient and flexible desktop operating system, aiming at being compatible with AmigaOS 3.1 at the API level, while improving on it in many areas.

ICAROS DESKTOP LIVE! LKE
If you're still experiencing boot problems due to kernel change, please download this version instead. You will need to update it manually once installed.
Please install at least patch 01 for Icaros 1.5/1.5.1 on the LKE edition!
 
UPDATES

Update packs for version 1.5.x are compatible with both Live! and Light flavours of Icaros Desktop. The system must be already installed on the hard drive. To install them, you must use the LiveUpdater tool in SYS:Tools/LUPD (or on my software > system menu).
 
Update packs for version 1.4.x are compatible with both Live! and Light flavours of Icaros Desktop. The system must be already installed on the hard drive. To install them, you must use the LiveUpdater tool in SYS:Tools/LUPD (or on my software > system menu).
Update packs for version 1.3.x are compatible with both Live! and Light flavours of Icaros Desktop. The system must be already installed on the hard drive. To install them, you must use the LiveUpdater tool in SYS:Tools/LUPD (or on my software > system menu).
Update disks for version 1.1.x and 1.2.x are compatible with all flavours of Icaros Desktop: they can be applied indifferently to Live or Light! installations, and Icaros Desktop VE. The system must be already installed on the hard drive. To install them, you can either burn their ISO files on CD-RW or mount ISO files directly into AROS, using the LiveUpdater tool in SYS:Tools/LUPD (or on my software > system menu).
