Icaros Desktop is a pre-configured AROS desktop environment for the PC platform, distributed on a bootable live media. The AROS Research Operating System is a open source lightweight, efficient and flexible desktop operating system, aiming at being compatible with AmigaOS 3.1 at the API level, while improving on it in many areas.

I've promised long ago to explain the procedure to create a Icaros pendrive, but spare time to write it has been scarce, so you had to wait a little longer than expected. But now, my step-by-step how-to is finally ready! Since it is a PDF document, you need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open it, but if you already are a lucky Icaros Desktop user, you can use ArosPDF as well. To donwload the manual addendum (these pages will be added also to the next release of the Icaros user manual) just click on the top-left corner image or on this link. People that don't like long and complex procedures like the one described here, will be happy to know that there are some already-made Icaros Sticks still available, waiting for donors to catch one (please read Icaros 1.2.2 release informations for further informations about them).
