Thanks to Ola Jensen who warned me, MUIbase wasn't working at all on VmwAROS: launching the database not only crashed the virtual machine, but it even unvalidated the system partition, making the operating system unusable. Again, the issue was caused by a futile motivation: I hadn't added the proper ASSIGN to my user-startup. Now everything is OK (thanks, Ola).
Anyway, this leads to some considerations about AROS and how applications may interact with him. It's pretty difficult - at least to me - to understand where the bugs are, however in the real world a missing ASSIGN can't destroy a whole filesystem. We really urge to fix this...
