Older Releases

This page provides links to download very old Icaros releases, for hystorical reasons. These versions bring very old AROS code base and should not be used today, however they might provide better compatibility with very old PCs. These releases of Icaros Desktop are completely unsupported anymore, and no help will be given to users about them.

UPDATES FOR OLDER RELEASES

Update packs for version 2.1.x are compatible with both Live! and Light flavours of Icaros Desktop. The system must be already installed on the hard drive. To install them, you must use this version of LiveUpdater tool (in SYS:Tools/LUPD or on my software > system menu).

• Download update from version 2.1.2 to version 2.1.3 (38 MB, http)
  Update can be installed on 2.1.2 only. Former releases must be updated to 2.1.2 first.
• Download update from version 2.1 or 2.1.1 to version 2.1.2 (60 MB, http)
  Update can be installed on 2.1.1, users of 2.1 should upgrade LiveUpdater as explained above.

Update packs for version 2.0.x are compatible with both Live! and Light flavours of Icaros Desktop. The system must be already installed on the hard drive. To install them, you must use the LiveUpdater tool in SYS:Tools/LUPD (or on my software > system menu).

• Download update from version 2.0.3. to version 2.1 (300 MB, http)
  Before updating please follow these instructions
• Download update from version 2.0.1. to version 2.0.3 (96 MB, http)
  Please install update 2.0.1 on Icaros Desktop 2.0 with LiveUpdater 1.8a,
  before updating to 2.0.3!
• Download update from version 2.0. to version 2.0.1 (275 MB, http)
  Please install LiveUpdater 1.8a on Icaros Desktop 2.0 before updating to 2.0.1!

Update disks for version 1.1.x and 1.2.x are compatible with all flavours of Icaros Desktop: they can be applied indifferently to Live or Light! installations, and Icaros Desktop VE. To install them, you can either burn their ISO files on CD-RW or mount ISO files directly into AROS, using the LiveUpdater tool in SYS:Tools/LUPD (or on my software > system menu).
